Saturday and Sunday of our reunion were pretty laid back. We watched movies, the kids played with toys, the men played "sting pong," we exchanged sibling gifts, I played Settlers of Catan (love that game now), we celebrated Nana's birthday, had a white elephant gift exchange, the kids splashed around in a tub of bubbles, and so on and so forth. Also, on Sunday we went to church at a singles ward. Completely unintentional, thought it was a family ward. It totally cracked us up though. Who takes a dozen young children to a singles ward?
The house we stayed in was super nice and stocked with lots of stuff (almost like whoever lived their before it was a rental had not fully moved out). I was surprised to see a glass nativity set out in the kitchen, a grandfather clock in the dining room, decorative glass perfume bottles on the dresser in my room, and so on. It was definitely more luxurious than the place I reserved for the last reunion.
Ellie was a little nervous about the bath tub and especially nervous about the prospect of the bubble streams being turned on. She wanted to get out, but I had her stay in for the bubbles streams thinking she would like them and settle down. Unfortunately I had not filled the tub up enough so the bubbles shot out of the tub into Ellie and all over the bathroom. It was hilarious for the adults (even with the all the cleanup), not so much for Elle who became hysterical and had to be moved to a regular tub.
We had to get a picture of the kiddos in their Nana jammies, with their sock monkeys. It was not an easy feat but we did it, sort of.
Hazel and Emmaline: Emma used a jumperoo for the first time on our vacation. We hadn't realized she was big/old enough. As our last baby she is growing way too fast. I want her to stay little longer.
