The final full day of our reunion, Drew and Dave went skiing while I took the kids to the children's museum in SLC.
At the museum Uncle Scott treated the grandchildren to a simulated hurricane (or tornado?). Not all the kids lasted till the end.
Back in Heber we spent our last night packing and playing games. Oh, and Liz and I visited a local "ice castle."
Emma & Parker:
On Tuesday, the 31rst we packed up and left Heber, stopping on the way out of town for one last family meal (thanks to Papa and Nana). It felt strange to stay goodbye to my family knowing we'd still be in town a few days. We said goodbye to Andrew's family that evening as well. So, in one day we bid farewell to them all (and then lingered for a few more days).
On the way to Drew's sister's house for our New Year's celebration, we stopped at Temple Square to see the lights (it was on my "Utah holiday trip bucket list").
Nielson family New Years Eve party: games, food, silly string, and poppers (Drew managed to pop one on his nephews nose--good aim). We started the new year by cleaning up a huge silly string mess (had to peel it off the walls). Ugh, never again.
