So, in May, the little girls finished up preschool, we went to Great Wolf Lodge, celebrated Mother's Day (it was lovely, I lounged on the couch eating chocolate-covered strawberries and the like), I hauled the girls to Opera in the Outfield (all by myself!), and . . .
Drew and Lizzie went to the annual father-daughter Activity Girls activity (safari themed, lots of fun):
The little girls and I attended Lizzie's Medieval Day celebration at school. Lainey and Ellie loved it and it was fun to see Liz dance and enjoy herself.
Liz got to play her recorder with the music teachers:
Liz and I attended a Girl Scout overnighter at Gadsby's Tavern (fun for the kids, but sleeping on the wooden floor was SO uncomfortable for us old fart leaders):
We all attended Lizzie's piano recital (notice Lainey on the front row with her wolf ears on):
The little ones and I went on a playdate with friends to the National Botanical Gardens:
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back on the weekend with Drew and Liz for a Sunday walk:
Alaina was overjoyed to be at the gardens again. She smelled the flowers, giggled, twirled, leapt, skipped, sang, and posed for pictures.
Liz didn't enjoy our walk nearly as much and Lainey, but Ellie and Em seemed to.
Liz warmed up at the children's garden.
Emma enjoyed riding on Drew's shoulders. She also enjoyed holding his ears (he enjoyed that part significantly less than her).
