Emma took her first steps on June 23.  It was memorable because Uncle Dan was there (also,  it was on Nana's birthday).  We got her to walk to us by tempting her with Lizzie's sock monkey (something she is usually not allowed to play with).  For the following for few she still mostly crawled and then around her the week of her birthday she started walking all the time.

Emmaline likes to play with toilet paper and wrapping paper rolls, our keys and phones, plastic bottles, shoes, Lizzie's sock monkey, and Ellie's beloved kangaroo and ragged babydoll named Polka Dot.  She has two front teeth, she waves bye bye and hi, she likes to "give five," and she cuddles with a her silky and uses a binky at night.  She says mamama and up, but we're not sure if she really comprehends what up means.
Emma loves fruit (watermelon, bananas, apples, blueberries . . . ), cheese sticks, yogurt, cheerios.  She likes to use sippy cups (water, not a huge fan of cow's milk yet).

She blows raspberries, sticks her tongue out regularly and noisily, and scrunches up her face in a funny way when we smile at her.

We celebrated Emma's birthday when Dan was in town.  The girls were excited, but Em was a little tired and a bit overwhelmed.  Em would occasionally look around the table at all of us and burst into tears.  s
