5th tooth
Liz lost another tooth last night. She came in around 4 a.m. to let us know (and ask Andrew to help her find it). The tooth was hanging by a thread when she went to bed so it wasn't too much of a surprise when she woke up in the middle a the night and discovered that it was gone. What was a surprise was that she found it (unaided) a few hours later when she officially woke up.
Liz was so excited about her tooth that she insisted on taking it (in a large zip lock bag) with her to school to show her teachers and friends. And amazingly the tooth made it home again.

Cousins
Veterans Day
Lizzie's school held their Thanksgiving lunch on Vet's Day since a lot of parents have it off. Drew had to work so I went with the little girls. It was a hassle and, in the end, a total waste of time and money. We 30 minutes waiting in line to buy our turkey and stuffing. Then, within five minutes of sitting down Liz had to return to class. To make up for that lunch flop I met Liz the next day and had a much better experience. Next year I'll either skip the event all together or pack a lunch.

Liz Moments
Last night Lizzie started freaking out (whimpering and hiding her hands) when I clipped her nails so I tried to get her to focus on other things. I told her to close her eyes and imagine that the clipping noises were something else.
She said, "It's the sound of a person walking. He's a bad guy and he's going to hurt me."
So I said, "How about it's the sound of someone clipping their rose bushes."
Liz returned with, "Yeah, it's a bad guy and he's going to hurt me."
Dramatic much?
Other Lizzie moments of late:
This morning Lizzie wanted to wear last night's butterfly face paint to school. I wanted her to wash it off. She compromised by wiping off the bottom half of the butterfly. I'm half expecting a call or note from the teacher.
On a recent homework sheet Lizzie wrote "I liked reading the Book of Mormon because it's true." Ahhhh. I totally put it in her save-until-she's-a-grown-up bin.
I finally did Lizzie's birthday interview. The main change has been in her toy preferences. Barbie and American Girl have eclipsed My Little Pony. I also asked her if she could have any other name what would she pick. She said, "Nothing. I like the name Elizabeth. If I had another name I would change it to Elizabeth."

Mom Moments
Bad Mom Moment: I told Liz she could read to me after I took a shower and then lingered so long that she was asleep when I got out. Sorry sweetie.
Lazy Mom Moment: I let Alaina go to bed in her Sunday dress because that's what she picked out and I didn't want to fight and force her into regular pajamas.
