Nana's birthday celebration

We celebrated Nana's birthday at our reunion (within a week of her actual birthday which is unusual for our family, normally we party on her half birthday).  All of the kids, and most of the adults, made cards for her and the older girls made a banner as well.  The kids "surprised" Nana in the basement with their creations and poppers.
Lizzie was pretty sad at the start of the celebration because she had the only popper (only two poppers actually) that didn't work.

I'm thinking it was user error.
The kids enjoyed presenting their cards as if they were presents.  And Olive enjoyed placing the popper innards on Nana's head and glasses.
At the party Uncle Rob gave all the kids sunglasses to protect their eyes while they shot the foam dart guns he gave them earlier in the week.

It was a good call since many of the kids were shooting each other in face from pretty close range.
Ellie wanted to do a lot of "poses."
We had yummy pies instead of the standard cake.
