Nielson Family Vacay Day #1

Andrew and I were scheduled to make breakfast for everyone our first day in San Diego and even though I was late picking him up from the airport, and he was very jet lagged (having gone to bed 5 a.m. DC time), Drew started cooking and let me sleep in. So sweet. Also sweet: Cindy gave us a hooded beach towels for all our girls and a diaper cake (very cute and more things we didn't have to pack to CA). More sweetness: Carrie and Collette made our girls beaded bracelets with their names. We spent most of the day relaxing by the pool (and catching Lainey--she could jump in for hours).
That evening we had a Family Talent Show
With packing for our trip and packing up our apartment we didn't have much time to also plan a performance. We came up with something last minute, but Liz got stage fright, so Drew just winged it. He showed everyone how he could bend his nose too far to one side thanks to a past broken nose.
Then, he and his sister, Carrie, showed everyone how they could touch their noses with their tongues.
Drew took it to a kinda gross place.
Lizzie participated from the audience.
Alaina tried too.

Also today: Andrew had to work a bit. Not fun. To keep Lainey away from daddy while he worked I painted her toenails (for the first time ever). Very fun.
