Birthday Party Take 2

Last night we had a "friend party" for Alaina. Liz helped me plan it (mostly by pointing out that Lainey has one main friend and agreeing that Chuck E Cheese is a great place for a toddler party).
Alaina's friend: Meg. Coincidentally Meg's older sister, Taryn, is also Lizzie's friend (and we like the parents as well, win-win-win).
Lainey's favorite rides/games: the mini carousel, the cars, and bowling.
Most commonly heard phrase from Laines was "mo money" (notice the hand out).Excited to ride:
Trying to understand when I explained that I was out of tokens.
The aftermath of a mini tantrum. She threw her head back and whacked it on the seat.
Lainey wasn't the only one asking for "mo money." Notice the fake, slightly crazed smiles on these girls. They came to get more tokens and I told them they could have some after they posed for a picture.
I didn't plan things out super well. We scheduled the party with our friends the night before, I bought balloons on the way there, and after pizza, while the kids were playing, I walked to the grocery store across the street and bought a dozen donuts (in lieu of cake).
I did manage to get Alaina to wear her birthday tiara (about long enough to take this picture).
Check out this donut. It's the size of her head. She loved it and, just like she would have done with cupcakes, she just licked off the frosting.
The other girls also liked our last-minute dessert.
As with her other party, Alaina had one present (and it wasn't from her parents).
The older girls helped her open it.
She got kind of boxed out for a bit . . .
but the girls got back to her in the end and . . .
she loved her mini kitchen! Our friends left at a reasonable time, but we stayed till our tokens were all gone (a.k.a. WAY past bedtime). Poor Drew, who had come straight from work, was so done.
But don't feel too bad for him. He also got a chance to play a little bit.
