Poor Drew ruptured his achilles tendon last night and has to have surgery on it tomorrow morning and then wear a cast (regular, then walking) for MONTHS.

I'm just now getting treatment for my knee that I jacked up playing V-ball - I'll probably be back to playing around the time you have recovered.
A woman that I work with here did here achilles a month ago. She said there was an audible pop - and it didn't hurt until she tried stepping on it. And then, it was just useless. She'll be out of commission for at least 4 more months. To be honest, I am predicting that as soon as I get back up to speed with me knee, the next thing to go- besides my knee again, will be my achilles.

Oh that is terrible. I imagine that he is pretty upset! I hope that all goes well, and that the recovery goes by fast!
