Two Fridays

Yesterday was kind of crazy. We swam a lot, played a lot, did some school work. Nana even made chocolate chip banana nut bread with all three of my girls (Lizzie is sampling the sugar). We also had a lot of drama from tired little girls (I had stupidly let them stay up late the night before to watch So You Think You Can Dance).

Today we took it easy. So easy, that I didn't even break out the camera (the pics below are from yesterday). It was the same thing last Friday. After a Thursday packed full of funeral activities and family, we took a day to recoup.
In the pictures Laina is holding her sunscreen stick. She loves to constantly reapply it to her face (she does the same with any chapstick or glue stick she gets her hands on).
It has taken Alaina days to warm up to the pool. Liz felt comfortable right away.
LAST FRIDAY:
We started the day off with a visit to a friend. She and I ate take out breakfast while our kids played. During the visit Gabrielle had her first "blow out." It was all over her, all over the carseat, and all over my white t-shirt. Luckily the washing machine was available.
Tanner & Alaina. This was the best picture I got of these two. They weren't exactly cooperative.
Gabrielle & Lilly. Check out Ellie's cross eyes in the vertical pic.
In the afternoon the kids painted wooden alligators at Aunt Julie's house.
It was relaxing for the mamas as well.
What was Lizzie doing while we were chillin in Utah? She finished out VBS in the mornings, had afternoon playdates that went well into the evening/night, and on Friday, when daddy had to work on a company holiday, she went to Busch Gardens with a friend so she had loads of fun.
And what was Andrew doing while we were gone? Mostly boring work.
